Proton mass

The rest mass of a proton — about 1836 times the electron mass. Protons (with neutrons) make up nearly all the mass of ordinary matter, so this constant anchors nuclear and atomic mass scales.

  • Nuclear binding energy calculations
  • Atomic mass unit conversions
  • Particle physics mass scales
