Ohm's Law Calculator
Ohm's law, V = IR, relates voltage, current, and resistance in an electric circuit. Enter any two values to solve for the third.

How to interpret the result
Voltage drives current through resistance like pressure drives water through a narrow pipe. For a fixed resistor, doubling the voltage doubles the current — the straight-line I–V graph is the signature of an ohmic conductor.
Assumptions
- Ohmic conductor: resistance is constant (independent of voltage)
- Steady DC conditions
- Temperature held constant (resistance drifts with temperature in real wires)
